Hawwo!
It approaches that of year that societies must do paperwork, rebirth next academic year. With that we must also talk about boring meetings like AGMs. We need an AGM to decide who will be running the society next year.
But before we get to the AGM we will need to find some candidates, their roles the next year's planned direction, and anything else relating to next year. So we are having a pre-AGM. The plan is to have the preAGM Wednesday 12th May 5PM, @ Woodville – If its full or there is a function we don't know about then we will just move on elsewhere.
Then following the preAGM we will have an event at the end of the month with the AGM included. Event ideas will be accepted after the preAGM.

Here is a brief description of some of the roles available. This is a jumping off point, they can be tweaked and adjusted if it better meets the new committee as a whole. If you are interested, it would be advisable to have a couple of additional hours a week free for a weekly committee meetings.
President – CEO and manager of society; you make shit get done.
Vice President – Presidents aid, generally merged with treasurer.
Treasurer – You record how much monies the society has, and then dispense monies when needed.
Secretary – You go to every meeting, take notes and then write them up.
Publicity & Publications Officer – You make posters and distribute them, as well as spamming people with news.
Social manager – You plan the getting drunk, going out and having fun without the technology.
Event manager – You plan the gaming events
I could ideally see this job being split into 2 jobs (one for PC, one for console), but that would be based on candidate availability.
Web manager – You look after the website
Driver – You drive around carrying equipment for events.
