In order for this website to run smoothly and for the protection of Cardiff Computer Gaming Society and its members, please read and keep to the following rules regarding the use of this forum:
General Forum Rules:- Before posting, please use the search function (top right), to see if the topic has been discussed before. If it has, use the thread to raise your point
- Please be polite to other members of the forum. If you have an issue with what another member has said, please contact the Moderators/Committee
(If it was said in a post you can use the "Report to moderator" link on the bottom right of a post)
- Members are kindly asked not to act as back seat moderators, if you have an issue with a post or user please contact the Moderators/Committee
- Do Not post any offensive material. This includes: foul & abusive language, racist, sexist or other derogatory comments, inappropriate images etc
- Please use descriptive titles for threads.

- Do Not post any items that will be in breach of intellectual property acts (eg. Copyright) or other items that could contribute to malicious acts (eg. Plagiarism)
- Do Not spam the boards, troll or bump threads (reposting on your topic with no motive other than to raise the position of the thread in a board)
- Please Do Not double, or mutli-post
- There is no need for for you to post repeatedly, in quick succession in the same thread
- If you have a new point, and nobody had replied yet - why not edit your last post and add that point
- Do Not post advertisements or other similar material on the forum, any such post will be deleted
- No VS (Versus) Threads - Debating is allowed but don't let it degenerate into a flame war similar to a Vs Thread
- If you have a point, back it up with reason or example, don't just say that X is best.
- A quick example of a vs thread -
Person1: PS3 Is the best console ever!
Person2: BS! 360 FTW!
Person1: Why ?!
Person2: It's just better like lol!
Person1: You suck!
Person2: Gtfo!
...
- Members are asked to use Clear English and not to SHOUT or use excessive punctuation in topic titles. All printed articles relating to the society will be available, where possible, in both English & Welsh
- The decision of the Moderators and/or the Society Committee is Final. If you have any problems, please contact the Moderators/Committee
- All the above rules apply to both forum posts AND private messages
Signature Limits- Your signature must fit inside a 600 by 300 pixel box (width by height respectively).
- All rules regarding posts also apply to both pictorial and text content in signatures.
Avatars- If you upload an avatar (to cardiffgaming.co.uk/) through your profile ...
The maximum file size is 75KB (76,800 bytes) - The maximum dimensions for an avatar are 120px wide by 120px high, avatars larger than this will be automatically resized such that there largest side is no greater than 120px
- The content of ANY avatar must comply with the rules for posting
Attachments- Attachments may be of the following file formats only:
- Cardiff Computer Gaming Society does not accept liability for the contents of any attachments. All users are strongly recommended to check any attachment for viruses etc. before opening
- All attachments must conform with the rules for posting

Moderators/Committee reserve the right to add, remove or amend these rules without notice. The
Moderators/Committee reserve the right to modify and/or remove any post they consider to be damaging to the society, the website or its servers at any time.

DOES NOT accept any liability for the content of these forums or the view expressed therein.
Anyone found breaking these rules is subject to any of the following: Formal Warning, Deletion of Posts, Temporary/Permanent Ban from the Website or Revocation of Society Membership. In extreme cases we may find it necessary to liaise with Cardiff Students' Union and/or Cardiff University.
